John D'Agnola was a sparring partner for Johnny Kubinic at the P.A.L. (Police Athletic League) Boxing Club at Drouillard Road's Holy Rosary Church. He later came back to help coach at the Border City Boxing Club.

Orville Drouillard had over one hundred fights during the 1930s and was labeled by promoters "The boy who always gives satisfaction."

Harvey Dubbs is an all-time great for the Windsor area. He fought in the1940's.

 

Katie Dunn boxed with the Border City Boxing Club for eight years (2000-2008) and nearly became the Club's first Female 100-bout veteran. Kate also won four National Championships, Three Pan-Am Titles, and two Bronze Medals at the Women's World Championships. In addition, Dunn earned "Best Boxer" honours at the Provincials, the Canadian Championships, and at the Pan-Am Championships. To read more about Katie, click here!

 

Samir El-mais won the silver medal at the Ontario Championships and fought three years for the Border City Boxing Club. "Sweet" Sammy still visits the club and spars with up-and-coming boxers to prepare for their bouts.

Sammy made a comeback in 2005 and went undefeated in 5 bouts, before losing a controversial decision at the 2006 Provincial Championships.

 

Alvin Ford was one of the original coaches at Harry Marshall's Windsor Boxing Club.

 

Jim French was the middleweight Golden Gloves Champion and is currently a coach in the Windsor area.
