Border City Boxing Club's Alison Hunter and Jim Larkin represented themselves well at the Canadian National Boxing Championships this weekend, going up against the best in amateur boxing.

Alison Hunter proudly brought home the silver medal after a win of 18-14 win over Amanda Dayton of Alberta and a disappointing loss against Debbie Richards, National Champ from Ontario.

Larkin had an impressive weekend prevailing over five time Nigerian Champion Albert Onolonuse representing Alberta with a score of 21-17 and Darcy Hinds of B.C with a score of 16-15. Larkin dropped a hard fought decision to Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist and National Champion Jean Pascal of Quebec .

Larkin will have one more shot at the National title at the Final Team Selections, February 20-23 in Sarnia, Ontario.
