Sidoroff wins Best Prospect Award at 1998 Provincial Championships
Border City Boxing Club's "Mean" Margaret Sidoroff defeated National Champion Jamie Behl to advance to the Canadian Championships in Calgary, January 1998. Sidoroff, with only ten bouts under her belt, defeated Behl, who had more bouts than any female boxer in Canadian boxing history (50+). Because of her huge upset victory, Sidoroff was awarded the Best Prospect Award for the Tournament.
Sidoroff wins the Victoria State Title in New South Wales, Australia
Border City's "Mean" Margaret Sidoroff defeated the Victoria State Champion by unanimous decision to become the first Canadian to accomplish such a feat. Sidoroff is in her final preparations for the 1998 Provincial Championships in Windsor Ontario next month.
